Society of Construction Law prize
Friday, 27th July, 2018
Edmund Browne, a student on the first cohort of our new PG Diploma in Architecture: Professional Practice (Part 3), has been awarded the Society of Construction Law prize for best performance in the Construction Contracts module.
The module is common to the PG Diploma in Architecture: Professional Practice (Part 3) and the Master of Design Administration programmes offered by the School, with further specialist modules unique to each programme.
Edmund’s success was due primarily to his excellent essay ‘Assessing Extension of Time Claims Involving Concurrent Delay’ submitted as part of the module. Edmund commented: “Construction contract law was an interesting new subject for me, and I found it a real privilege to be taught by an expert in the field”.
Professor Sarah Lupton, an internationally respected expert on the professional and legal aspects of architecture and building procurement, leads the Part 3 as well as the Master of Design Administration programmes.
