Nicholas Mario Wardhana is Research Associate at the Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University.

He received his Ph.D. from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, and his Sarjana Teknik degree in Electrical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, Indonesia. His Ph.D research involves the analysis of non-manifold meshes to automatically create map structures for path planning purposes in very large virtual urban environments. He was previously a Project Officer at Multi-plAtform Game Innovation Centre (MAGIC), NTU, leading the development of serious games as platforms for various humanities studies, including empathy building towards migrant workers and elderly people.
