Research centres in the School provide a focus for the range of different research themes.
Staff may be affiliated to one or more centres, which allows them the flexibility to pursue a range of interests and maximise interdisciplinary working. The diverse range of centres reflects the varied interests and achievements of staff.
The Centre for Research in the Built Environment is part of the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University. Its primary aim is the effective and sustainable design, construction and operation of the built environment.
Centre for Sustainable Design of the Built Environment (SuDoBE) is based in the Welsh School of Architecture (WSA) at Cardiff University. The Centre was established in 2007 with the appointment of its Director, Professor Chris Tweed.
