Project: Modelling flood dynamics in Somerset\u00a0Levels<\/h3>\n

\"span\"David\u00a0is a PhD student (2014-2018), supported by EPSRC CDT-WISE programme. He is working on\u00a0modelling flood dynamics in Somerset\u00a0Levels using TELEMAC software.<\/p>\n

Between 2010-13, he\u00a0undertook the BSc in Geographical Information Systems\u00a0at Bath Spa University, focusing on reducing the registration errors involved when geo-referencing a Terrestrial Laser Scanning dataset. Thereafter he\u00a0undertook the\u00a0MSc Computing course (2013-14) at Cardiff University during which he developed a standalone application which extended the functionality of QGIS to query and map the 2003 National Foot and Mouth Dataset. Mid-2015 he\u00a0completed the WISE CDT postgraduate\u00a0school at Exeter University and is now based\u00a0at Cardiff University Queens Buildings.<\/p>\n
