In the run up to Science and Engineering week in March researchers in Cardiff University are offering a wealth of opportunities to learn more about what goes on in the world of scientific research.
In January the Clinical Research Facility at the University Hospital of Wales opens its doors and invites participants to find out what goes on behind the scenes with clinical trials. Bookings being taken now!!
In February Universe in the Classroom is partnering with the multi-national Space Awareness programme to run two CPD events for welsh primary and secondary teachers. All participating schools will receive access to a global network of robotic telescopes that can be used for free at any time over the Internet, and a vast range of classroom activities and resources covering the topics of Our Planet, the Solar System and the Wonderful Universe beyond.
Meanwhile we are booking now for the Science in Health Live! 2017 event, this year taking place on 15 & 16 March.
This two day event aims to excite students about science by allowing them access to the Cardiff University research that is having an impact upon medical and clinical practice worldwide. The event encompasses science theatre, stand-up comedy, a science quiz, interactive exhibits, laboratory tours and live-text polling.
