The Department of Dermatology at the School of Medicine, Cardiff University offers a range of postgraduate dermatology courses. Courses are delivered both on site in Cardiff and online via our distance-learning portal.

 

 

Diploma in Practical Dermatology

An online, distance-learning course delivering dermatology training for GPs, family practitioners and doctors in general who wish to gain expertise in dealing with skin disease whilst working. One-year full-time and two-year part-time paths are available.

MSc in Practical Dermatology

An online, distance-learning Masters course in dermatology for graduates of Cardiff’s Diploma in Practical Dermatology.

MSc in Clinical Dermatology

A one-year, full-time, face-to-face course based in Cardiff for secondary care doctors who wish to specialise in dermatology as a career and need a postgraduate dermatology degree with some research experience.

MPhil & PhD

Full-time, face-to-face programmes for those who wish to pursue a research-focused higher degree.

An Introduction To Dermoscopy

An online, twelve-week distance-learning course in dermoscopy for doctors who see patients with skin lesions. Develop competency in using a dermatoscope to evaluate skin lesions and improve skin cancer diagnostic skills.
