{"id":24,"date":"2013-12-03T09:19:18","date_gmt":"2013-12-03T09:19:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/europeangovernance\/?page_id=24"},"modified":"2017-10-24T09:38:17","modified_gmt":"2017-10-24T09:38:17","slug":"study","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/europeangovernance\/study\/","title":{"rendered":"Master&#8217;s degrees and PhD supervision"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>EGIPP staff are engaged in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/politics-international-relations\/courses\/research-degrees\/\">PhD supervision<\/a> and teach on or coordinate the following Masters&#8217; programmes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/pgt\/2001\">MA European Studies<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/pgt\/2003\">MSc Econ in European Governance and Public Policy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/pgt\/2008\">MSc Econ Welsh Government and Politics<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/pgt\/2007\">MSc Econ Politics and Public Policy<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardiff.ac.uk\/pgt\/2004\">MSc Econ International Relations<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>EGIPP had 17 Doctoral students in 2013-14, compared to 9 in 2000-1.<\/p>\n<p>The unit requires postgraduate research students to present papers in its research seminar series. The students also organise a bi-annual postgraduate conference, with participation of doctoral students from across south Wales and south-west England. These activities provide generic training, for instance in communication and presentation skills, as well as subject-related skills. They offer appropriate training for students to give papers in such forums as PSA and ECPR.
