8th HVDC Doctoral Colloquium

The colloquium will allow researchers and PhD students to discuss the research they are doing in the rapidly growing field of HVDC transmission for integration of large scale offshore wind power plants and offshore grids. The presentations will include topics such as HVDC transmission, operation, control, protection of DC grids, modular multi-level converters (MMC), AC/DC grids interaction, MVDC, power system stability among others.
This year, the 8th HVDC Colloquium will be hosted by Cardiff University between 6-8 September 2017. The participation is free of charge for partners and co-organisers (see names). Participants outside the supporting institutions should contact the organisation for details.
