Django Weekend Cardiff – Open Day

Django Weekend Cardiff is a Python/Django developer community conference.

Friday 7th February is our Open Day, and will feature a number of talks and tutorials. All sessions on the open day are free, and anyone who’s interested is welcome to attend.

Refreshments will be provided, but please register so that we know how many visitors to expect.

There are three strands to the open day. Please see the website for further information on all the sessions.

Open day sessions are aimed particularly at:

• school science pupils & teachers
• scientists, researchers & students
• software developers
• people in local government & business organisations


Python in science & research
Python is used throughout science. These talks, all suitable for a general audience, highlight some of the ways in which Python is being used in scientific research at Cardiff University.

Django at work
Across the world, many thousands of businesses, organisations and governments rely on Python & Django to support their work. Our speakers introduce some examples and discuss their work.

Technical hands-on workshops, led by experts in their fields.
