Major clinical & research interests in HIV/AIDS & viral hepatitis (B & C).

Previous basic science research, focussing on mechanisms of bone marrow & thymic dysfunction in HIV.

Clinical trials in HIV & viral hepatitis.

Numerous radio & TV interviews, mostly for BBC Wales on aspects of HIV and hepatitis & other infectious diseases, eg measles & 'flu outbreaks. Regularly advise BBC science & medical journalists on implications of newly published reseach findings in the field of HIV.
