Professor Anita Thapar
I am a scientist and clinician. My research focuses on psychiatric disorders in children-specifically ADHD and depression.
My expertise in the genetics and epidemiology of these disorders. I am lead editor of the 6th edition of Rutter's textbook in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
About my research
Much of our work focuses on identifying risk factors and risk mechanisms that contribute to ADHD and its complications.
We also investigate risk mechanisms involved in cross-generational transmission of psychiatric disorders.
