{"id":34,"date":"2015-02-10T08:49:22","date_gmt":"2015-02-10T08:49:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/fertiqol\/?page_id=34"},"modified":"2015-04-14T16:01:26","modified_gmt":"2015-04-14T16:01:26","slug":"faq","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/fertiqol\/faq\/","title":{"rendered":"FAQs"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>FertiQoL Frequently Asked Questions<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Who should use FertiQoL?<\/strong><br \/>\nFertiQoL can also be used by men and women\u00a0with fertility problems who would like to learn more about how\u00a0fertility problems\u00a0are affecting their quality of life in various life domains (e.g., emotional, social). \u00a0FertiQoL can be used by professionals to understand better the impact of fertility problems and their treatment on patient quality of life. \u00a0Companies \u00a0can \u00a0use FertiQoL as an outcome measure to address fertility quality of life in the development of new treatments and services. \u00a0 FertiQoL can be used by patient and other advocacy groups to demonstrate the impact of fertility problems on quality of life. \u00a0 Users of FertiQoL must agree to the <strong><a title=\"Download FertiQoL\" href=\"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/fertiqol\/download\/\">Terms and conditions. <\/a>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Can I delete questions, or change the wording or order of the FertiQoL questions?<\/strong><br \/>\nNo you cannot make changes to the FertiQoL. The terms and conditions of use clearly state that FertiQoL cannot be altered in any way.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is FertiQoL available in languages other than English?<\/strong><br \/>\nYes, FertiQoL is available in more than 30\u00a0languages.\u00a0FertiQoL was translated by professional translators and then reviewed by medical and psychological experts in the field who speak that language. \u00a0To check which translations are available for download <a title=\"Download FertiQoL\" href=\"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/fertiqol\/download\/\"><strong>click\u00a0here<\/strong><\/a>. You may download more than one language<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is a shortened version of FertiQoL available?<\/strong><br \/>\nFertiQoL comes with an optional treatment module. The treatment module of 10 questions can be given to patients currently in fertility treatment to evaluate the impact of treatment on their quality of life. This is an optional\u00a0module because many people with fertility problems have not had any contact with medical services.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Are there any norms available for FertiQoL?<\/strong><br \/>\nWe have not yet generated international FertiQoL norms. \u00a0However, you can see average FertiQoL scores from published studies on this page\u00a0<strong><a title=\"Psychometric properties\" href=\"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/fertiqol\/tool-description\/psychometric-properties-2\/\">FertiQoL Tool<\/a><\/strong>. We also ask research users of\u00a0FertiQoL to send the\u00a0means and standard deviations for total and subscale scores in their sample to add to these published data\u00a0(see Terms and Conditions).<\/p>\n<p><strong>How do I acknowledge FertiQoL?<\/strong><br \/>\nFertiQoL is free to use by professionals and researchers (contact fertiqol@cardiff.ac.uk for permission) but you need to acknowledge the sponsors in any publication.
