I have forgotten my password, what should I do?
The password for Learning Central is the same password used for logging onto computers on campus and for university email. If you have forgotten your password then please visit the IT office or visit any campus library (you must bring your university ID card) to get your password changed. Alternatively if you are away from Cardiff you can telephone the Schools IT staff.
Log on to the Cardiff Portal to set up your password hints, on the Preferences Tab within the Portal. This will mean if you forget your password, or your password expires whilst you are away, you will be able to reset the password yourselves through the Portal.
I have a learning disability which has been confirmed by the University’s Disability and Dyslexia Service. Do I have to tell my lecturer?
You don’t have to tell them and they may even be aware of your disability already, but if you do want your lecturer to consider your disability when marking your essay, you should include the following statement as part of your coversheet:
“I have a disability which affects my production of written language and would like the marker to take my disability into account.”
If you feel you may have a learning disability but have not registered yourself with the University’s Disability and Dyslexia Service, you may wish to contact the Student Support Centre’s Disability and Dyslexia Service.
If you have any technical problems or questions please contact a member of School IT support staff.
