Fulbright Commission Induction

15 September 2014

The Fulbright Commission was established in 1948 and aims to foster cultural understanding through educational exchange between the UK and the US. I was asked to be on the Board of Commissioners at the end of last academic year. I was delighted to accept this as fostering educational exchange links is something that is very important to me. It benefits individuals and institutions hugely. Fulbright students are also of the highest calibre, as an example 28 Fulbright alumni have served as heads of state or government. Cardiff University is also a long standing Fulbright partner. I attended the Induction session in London and was reminded of all their good work, their aims and vision.
