Visitors from Latvia arrive

A delegatation from Latvia, led by Liga Berzina and supported by the Latvian Government’s Ministry of Welfare, arrived on 7th Feb. The main aim of their visit is to learn more about our  research partnership model and strategic planning in services. Their visit includes meetings with researchers (see photo below), visits to primary and special schools and clinics in South Wales, and meeting with the Minister of Social Services and Public Health and the Vice Chancellor of Cardiff University.
Catherine Norton, Consultant Paediatrician and Louise Ingleton, Specialist Nurse, together with Leslie Rudd, NHS Wales hosted a meeting at St David’s Children’s Hospital, Cardiff (see photo below), with the clinical members of the team from Latvia to discuss  NHS Wales, the Neurodevelopmental Service Improvement initiative and the Cardiff and Vale Neurodevelopmental Service.
