Welcome to XPS Analysis at Cardiff<\/h1>\n

We are pleased to introduce our X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) surface analysis facility located within the Cardiff Catalysis Institute (CCI)<\/p>\n

New Addition (March 2016):<\/strong> We are proud to announce we are the first users in the UK to employ the new “SnapMap” imaging mode on our K-alpha+<\/sup> Instrument – See Imaging XPS<\/a> for more information!<\/span><\/p>\n

The center was established within the Wolfson Nanoscience Laboratory within the research school in 2006 as part of a major refurbishment. \u00a0The aim of the center is to provide a high quality, affordable analytical service for universities, individuals and industry\u00a0.<\/p>\n

The success and quality of the service is illustrated by our past\u00a0provision of the EPSRC X-ray photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS) service for the academic community through the \u201cAccess to Research Equipment Initiative\u201d (EP\/F019823\/1). \u00a0Examples of the work obtained from\u00a0the service\u00a0can be found in the\u00a0<\/span>\u201cAccess Papers\u201d<\/a> link.<\/span><\/p>\n
