Weiping Xu is a visiting student from Changsha University of Science and Technology (CSUST) supported by CSC. His research focuses on establishing a FVCOM based modelling framework to study the hydrodynamic and morphodyanic processes in the coastal areas of China and the impacts of storms and typhoons on the coastal environment, as well as the ecological, biological and geochemical responses in the study areas under global warming and changing climate.<\/p>\n
