Invitation to the Launch of the Cardiff Festival of Social Science

Monday 6th November, 12-1.30pm, Committee Rooms, Glamorgan Building.

We are pleased to announce that the second Cardiff Festival of Social Science will take place between 6 and 10 November 2017.

Part of the Economic and Social Research Council Festival of Social Science, the festival aims to celebrate and raise awareness of the outstanding social science research at the University – research that informs the development of policies, services and innovation, and addresses major societal challenges in Wales, the UK and internationally. The programme includes a variety of informative and interactive events across the city aimed at the general public, school students, third sector organisations and policy makers.

The launch event will kick off a week-long programme of events aimed at better connecting the public with social science research at Cardiff University, as well as providing an opportunity to learn more about the research strengths, priorities and activities spanning the arts, humanities and social sciences at Cardiff University.
