Uncovering waterways’ missing communities and hidden benefits
06/10/2017, 12:00 - 13:00
Dr Hannah Pitt will deliver this seminar as part of Sustainable Places Research Institute Annual Seminar Series.
The UK’s waterways offer accessible blue-greenspaces managed for the benefit of everyone, but not all those who live along waterway corridors currently make use of this asset. This leaves untapped potential in terms of enhancing wellbeing, and increases the risk of insufficient public support for investment in their future management. This seminar presents collaborative research which seeks to understand who is currently missing from waterways, and why, and implications for future management of shared public spaces.
This seminar is free to attend, however due to capacity booking is essential. To book your place please email email@example.com
