Specialist Skills on your Programme: Master of Architecture

Your programme of study has been developed in accordance with Professional, Statutory and Regulatory Bodies (PSRBs). This means the skills you develop during your study are set and regulated by those PSRB’s to ensure your education is reflective of practice conducted in industry and that the content of study is fit for purpose.

Throughout your programme you will be developing knowledge, skills and practise that is a requirement of these PSRB’s. This is to ensure essential standards, skills and competences are attained.

The PSRB’s that support your programme of study are listed below:

  • Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and meets the academic requirements for CEng professional registration.

CIBSE have requirements which accredited courses / modules such as Environmental Design of Buildings must meet which span Science and Mathematics, Engineering Analysis and Design and Innovation. Of most relevance to careers and employability are the requirements related to The Engineer and Society and Engineering Practice. These require skills and experiences which relate to professional codes of conduct, adopting an inclusive approach to practice, and applying knowledge of engineering management principles, commercial context, project and change management, and relevant legal matters including intellectual property rights.
