He successfully defending his PhD in Spring 2017, having just started work as an R&amp;D Engineer for ABB in Sweden. The quality of his PhD thesis, <em>Coordinated Control of Wind Power Plants in Offshore HVDC Grids<\/em>, has now led to him being named &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vindenergi.dtu.dk\/english\/News\/Nyhed?id=5547f5af-14d6-484e-9c44-fad9f416105f\">Excellent Young Wind Doctor 2017<\/a>&#8221; by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.eawe.eu\/\">European Academy of Wind Energy<\/a> (EAWE). The Excellent Young Wind Doctor Award is adjudicated by a Committee led by Professor Gerard van Bussel, TU Delft, Netherlands. Besides writing his PhD, JC also took the time to make several <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/channel\/UCwDledHrAwMoBe-NH3FclYg\/videos\"><em>Guidance for Graduates<\/em><\/a> videos about life as a doctoral student at DTU Wind Energy and in Denmark.
