{"id":261,"date":"2013-10-01T15:40:07","date_gmt":"2013-10-01T15:40:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/devwordpress.cf.ac.uk\/medow\/?page_id=261"},"modified":"2014-01-09T16:03:39","modified_gmt":"2014-01-09T16:03:39","slug":"management-objectives","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/medow\/about-medow\/management-objectives\/","title":{"rendered":"Management Work Packages and Objectives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Work Packages 5 -8 concern the organisation and running of the project.\u00a0 For details for Work Packages 1-4, see the <a title=\"Research\" href=\"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/medow\/research\/\">Research<\/a> pages.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #557896\"><strong>Work Package 5: Network training events<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The members of WP5 will organise a series of training events for all the MEDOW fellows, and researchers from outside the project when appropriate.\u00a0 These will take place approximately every six months to coincide with the bi-annual MEDOW event.<\/p>\n<p>Network training activities are expected to include workshops, lectures, a summer school, industrial days and\u00a0complementary skills training sessions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #557896\"><strong>Work Package 6: Training of individual ESR\/ER<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>This WP will focus on training of individual fellows.\u00a0 All MEDOW fellows will create a Personal Career Development Plan with their supervisor(s).\u00a0 This document aims to establish clear targets for the period that a fellow is employed in the MEDOW project and beyond.<\/p>\n<p>Individual training will include the secondment period(s) that all MEDOW fellows will spend at one or more of the other partner institutions.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #557896\"><strong>Work Package 7: Dissemination and outreach activities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The members of WP7 will oversee the dissemination of the project&#8217;s research results through appropriate channels such as publications, conference presentations and intellectual properties.<\/p>\n<p>The work of the project will also be disseminated in a more informal way, through our outreach activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"color: #557896\">Work Package 8: Network management<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This Work Package is led by Cardiff University and concerns the general management of the MEDOW project.\u00a0 This includes organising the bi-annual network meetings and training events, maintaining the project website, monitoring the project budget and submitting reports to the European Commission.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Work Packages 5 -8 concern the organisation and running of the project.\u00a0 For details for Work Packages 1-4, see the Research pages.
