MEDOW researchers have benefitted from a wide range of training activities, including industry days, personal skills development, lectures from our Visiting Scientists, and group discussions of their individual projects.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Research training workshops \u2013 2013 Winter meeting and 2014 Summer meeting<\/li>\n<li>Research seminars \u2013 2013 Winter meeting, 2014 Summer meeting, 2015 Winter meeting, 2015 Summer meeting<\/li>\n<li>International conference \u2013 2016 Spring meeting<\/li>\n<li>Summer school &#8211; 2015 Summer meeting<\/li>\n<li>Industrial day events \u2013 2013 Winter meeting, 2014 Summer meeting, 2015 Winter meeting, Late 2015 meeting, 2016 Summer meeting<\/li>\n<li>Assembly meetings \u2013 2015 Winter meeting, 2015 Summer meeting, Late 2015 meeting<\/li>\n<li>Complementary skills courses \u2013 2013 Winter meeting, 2014 Summer meeting, 2015 Winter meeting, 2015 Summer meeting, Late 2015 meeting, 2016 Summer meeting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #557896\"><strong>Work Package 6: Training of individual ESR\/ER<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>At the project end, we have completed all deliverables for this work package:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>D6.1: PCDPs written and agreed for ESRs and ERs \u2013 completed in line with recruitment dates.<\/li>\n<li>Report of secondments for all ESRs and ERs \u2013 completed this month and to be submitted to the European Commission.<\/li>\n<li>Summary of PhD degrees for ESRs \u2013 completed this month and to be submitted to the European Commission.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #557896\"><strong>Work Package 7: Dissemination and outreach activities<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>MEDOW researchers have disseminated and communicated their work in a wide range of ways, addressing a number of different types of audience. The total number of dissemination activities for the project exceeds 200 with a final network-wide outreach event, a project open day, being held at Cardiff University in July 2016. The <a href=\"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/medow\/dissemination\/\">dissemination webpages<\/a> contain a full list of dissemination activities, with activities categorised by type:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<ul>\n<li>Participation in HVDC and wind power events<\/li>\n<li>Engagement with industry<\/li>\n<li>Journal articles<\/li>\n<li>Conference papers and poster<\/li>\n<li>Book chapters<\/li>\n<li>Patents<\/li>\n<li>Public outreach<\/li>\n<li>Online and print coverage of the project<\/li>\n<li>Newsletters<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We have achieved the deliverables for this work package:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 network-wide outreach activities<\/li>\n<li>Dissemination activities.
