The UN Office on Drugs and Crime continues to be one of the lead agencies in the fight against piracy and other maritime crimes. In its recently published annual report UNODC gives an overview of the activities carried out in 2015. The report provides details about the Indian Ocean Forum on Maritime Crime (IOFMC), and UNODC’s broader work in the region to ensure rule of law and enable maritime security sector reform.
