At university, time is precious and it&#8217;s important to spend the time you do have in a way that best suits you and where you are in your career journey. That&#8217;s why we have created these interactive future roadmaps &#8211; one for each year of undergraduate study and one for postgraduate students.<\/p>\n<p>You can use these maps to gain inspiration for your own career development and identify what kind of activities will help you, depending on where you are in your course.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In Year 1, we imagine students will be <em>exploring<\/em> their interests, skills, career ideas and motivations, as well as university life and the wider support available<\/li>\n<li>In Year 2, we imagine students will be <em>developing<\/em> &#8211; both their employability skills and personally, as they gain work experience and confidence in recruitment processes<\/li>\n<li>In their final year, we imagine students will be getting ready for what&#8217;s next and <em>applying<\/em> for graduate jobs, schemes or postgraduate courses<\/li>\n<li>We have a future roadmap for postgraduate students on a one-year course<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"well\">Remember there is no single perfect route to follow when planning for your future \u2013 everyone is unique and so is their career journey. These roadmaps are designed to offer inspiration to anyone looking for some direction with their career development and with making the most of their time at Cardiff University.<\/div>\n<p>You can
