Visit of the Italian Ambassador

Cardiff University students had an opportunity to meet the Italian Ambassador on his visit to the University today. Mr Pasquale Terracciano visited the School of Modern Languages as part of celebrations to commemorate Italy taking over the revolving presidency of the EU. It was a wonderful occasion and the Ambassador was truly impressed by the Italian of all the students. I was glad to welcome him in my role as the Pro Vice-Chancellor covering International and Europe as well as Research, Innovation and Enterprise. I am soon to hand over responsibility for International and Europe to my new colleague Professor Nora de Leeuw and wish her well with a wonderful brief. It has been a pleasure hosting and attending such events.
