Celebrating excellence awards

This evening I hosted the Celebrating Excellence awards which recognise colleagues who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment and contribution to the University.  The awards highlighted 39 truly exceptional members of staff and teams that had been shortlisted as finalists after being nominated by their peers. Each of them are playing a vital part in helping us to deliver The Way Forward in their roles across professional services, education, research and innovation and engagement.

We were blown away by the Cardiff University staff choir who provided a surprise performance which created a marvellous atmosphere. This is a great example of our people coming together from across the University to make a real impact and build our sense of community.

Watching the films made us all so proud of all the dedicated and passionate people that work at the University who continually go above and beyond to ensure that we are providing a world class education for our students.
