{"id":96,"date":"2014-03-05T11:00:35","date_gmt":"2014-03-05T11:00:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/wccop\/?page_id=96"},"modified":"2014-07-24T15:50:53","modified_gmt":"2014-07-24T15:50:53","slug":"7-where-can-i-find-out-more-about-applying-to-the-court-of-protection","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.cardiff.ac.uk\/wccop\/resources\/7-where-can-i-find-out-more-about-applying-to-the-court-of-protection\/","title":{"rendered":"7.\tWhere can I find out more about applying to the Court of Protection?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>People may need to apply to the Court of Protection for a range of reasons, for example where a deputy needs to be appointed to make certain decisions. \u00a0There are some kinds of best interests decisions which can\u00a0<em>only\u00a0<\/em>be made by the Court of Protection, and cases where there is doubt or dispute about a person&#8217;s capacity or best interests which cannot be resolved by other means may need to go to the Court of Protection;
