Each year at  Graduation ceremonies there is an opportunity for the University to honour individuals distinguished in their respective fields by the award of an Honorary Fellowship of Cardiff University. The Fellows Committee would welcome suggestions of distinguished individuals who might be so honoured in 2015.

Cardiff University Honorary Fellowships are usually awarded to individuals who fulfil one or more of the following criteria:

(i)   have achieved academic excellence and a national or international leadership role in an academic discipline offered at Cardiff;

(ii)   have made a substantial contribution to social change on a national or international level;

(iii)   have made a substantial cultural contribution on a national or international level;

(iv)   have raised the international profile of Cardiff and Wales in their particular field.

In addition, the Fellows Committee will take into account the personal connections of the nominated individuals to Cardiff and Wales, and the likely future contribution that the individual might make to the University as a result of the association.
