Last year we saw approximately 400 people attend each of the engagement events and the feedback helped to shape much of the work that has been undertaken by the College of Biomedical and Life Sciences over the past 12 months.

The purpose of the events is to provide an opportunity for people to engage with the College, meet members of staff, and find out about our plans for the future. It is also a chance for people to have a say on the direction of the College – its strategies and priorities. There has been a great deal of change in recent years and the College structure is still fairly new. These events provide an opportunity for some quality engagement and we hope it will contribute to the development of strong relationships going forward.

We’d also like to use these events to showcase the great work going on within the Schools. It’s an opportunity to celebrate progress but also to make important cross-School links and build business collaborations.

We’ll also have plenty of funs things going on to break up the event and hopefully make it more engaging for everyone.

Please make every effort to pop in and see what’s going on, there will be something for everyone. The events will run from 10:30am to 2:30pm and people are free to come and go as they please.

For those people that weren’t able to make the 2015 event below is a very short video so you can see what it was all about. Hopefully we’ll see you this year?

The turn-out for both events in 2015 was extremely encouraging and we had representation from all schools across the College over the two days. We received a huge amount of feedback which fed into the planning process for the College. If you want to get a flavour of the key themes coming out of last year’s event we asked an artist to draw up our discussions (see below). These images are displayed on the wall in the College offices to remind us of the things that are important to people and the areas we need to work on together to develop.
