Research Talk

CUReS Medicine will be hosting its’ first ever research talk, on Thursday 13th November 2014, 6pm in Seminar Room 1F09/1F09A of the Michael Griffith Education Centre, Heath Park Campus.

Professor Judith Hall OBE (Head of Department of Anaesthetics, Intensive Care & Pain Medicine at UHW), will be kicking off proceedings!

Her research interests include Infection & Immunology and she has recently been the clinical lead of the Size of Sepsis in Wales Study, which took place earlier this year. In addition, Professor Hall has an interest in Critical Illness Research, Engineering and Anaesthesia related to the Airway and Sedation Mechanisms in Neuroscience.

Professor Hall will be talking about Mothers of Africa, a medical education charity, of which she is the Director, which trains medical staff to provide care for pregnant women, in Sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, she will present The Phoenix Project and a proposal regarding Medical Education Innovation.
