Congratulations are in order as Luis can now be formally addressed as Dr Luis Cunha after successfully completing his PhD defence today in the Azores, on “The effects of extreme environments of volcanic origin in organisms: using earthworms as biological models“

This was timed to coincide with the culmination of the weeks sampling trip which is in preparation for the next round of investigation on the Azorean earthworm which Luis is going to be continuing with us.
