The UK Cross-linking Consortium was established in 2013 with funding from the Medical Research Council. As a consortium, we are dedicated to the advancement of research into corneal cross-linking therapies and the dissemination of information about corneal cross-linking to ophthalmic surgeons, optometrists and vision scientists.
We strive to achieve our aims by:
- Providing a forum for ophthalmologists, opticians and vision scientists to develop research collaborations and co-ordinated, multi-centre studies.
- Establishing a code of best practice for corneal cross-linking in order to standardise the treatment and its measurement outcomes.
- Providing credible information and advice to national bodies about developments in corneal cross-linking.
