We are delighted to present Tom Martin’s research for the Changing Attitudes in Public Discourse team, as part of the Cardiff Undergraduate Research Opportunities Programme (CUROP). Tom’s self-contained project was to carry out a literature review of transcription and coding methods in multimodal discourse analysis, with a view to identifying those which are most suitable for identifying aggressive communication. You can find the results of his project in the three documents below:
- Literature Review of Multimodal Transcription PDF (173 KB)
- Collection of Transcription Softwares PDF (479 KB)
- Collection of Multimodal Transcription Methods PDF (1.8 MB)

Tom Martin’s overviews of Multimodal transcription were very useful and I’d like to cite them in an upcoming research article. Can you advise me on how these pdfs should be cited? Thank you.
