I am pleased for securing a new research project with Transport for Wales (TfW): “Climate Change and Flooding Risk on the Core Valleys Network of TfW – the Design of an Operational Flood Warning System” from June 2026 to June 2029. The project focuses on the Cardiff Core Valley Lines (CVLs) and is to develop a decision support system for fully assessing the vulnerability and flood risk in the study area under changing climate using both field measurements and modelling approaches.  Dr Hossein Amini is appointed as a PDRA for the project.
