Fernando has made the week-long research visit to Ismael J. Mariño-Tapia at Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute – Departamento de Recursos del Mar (Mérida), for a week from 17th May 2015. He participated in the research meetings and field measurement trips with a busy schedule:

• Day 1 – Reception by Dr. Ismael Mariño, group leader at Cinvestav, Unidad del Mar, Mérida
• Day 2 – First field trip. Differential GPS. Telchac Puerto Lagoon
• Day 3 – Second field trip. Shallow water multibeam. Telchac Puerto harbour
• Day 4 – Third field trip. Velocimeter & ISI recovery
• Day 5 – Cinvestav office. Data post-processing
• Day 6 – Fourth field trip. Sand trap. Telchac Puerto beach
