HRC Seminar

Prof Junqiang Xia, who was visiting HRC between 25 June and 18 July supported by RAEng and GCRF grants, gave an excellent seminar on “Mechanics-based Modelling of Flood Risks in Urban and Rural Areas”. The seminar was well attended by the academic staff and research students.

PhD Placement – update

Stephen has successfully completed his 3-month placement at Hohai and returned back to Cardiff. It was an exciting experience for Stephen, working closely with the Chinese peels there under the supervision of Prof Yongping Chen and Dr Yi Pan.
