Hayder’s Home Visit

Hayder gave a presentation about his research on assessing the groundwater resources at Al-Najaf City in Nov 2016 to the local stakeholders and government officials, who showed a great interest. The presentation was well received. The research uses the advanced ModFlow model.

M&CCE Expo 2016-updated

Shunqi made a presentation at M&CCE Expo in London Excel on 13th Oct on the impact of Sea Level Rise (SLR) on Welsh Coasts, using TELEMAC-2D. Rhyl at North Wales was used as an example to illustrate the analysis of flood dynamics in improving the flood risk assessment and management. Flood Index – Annimation

Welcome Prof Xiangdong Qian, Drs Hong Chen, Limo Tang and Ms Shemei Li from Hohai University to visit Cardiff on 9 August 2016. During their visit, we discussed with Prof Qian, who also is Secretory-in-General for the Association of Engineering Mechanics in Jiangsu Province the pathways to promote the Association in the UK and future collaboration and exchanges.
