Stephen has successfully completed his 3-month placement at Hohai and returned back to Cardiff. It was an exciting experience for Stephen, working closely with the Chinese peels there under the supervision of Prof Yongping Chen and Dr Yi Pan. He was mostly impressed by the diligence of hard working PhD students at Hohai. He also presented his work at the 2nd International Symposium on Hydraulic Modelling and Measuring Techniques, held at Nanjing Hydraulic Research Institute (NHRI).
