New Handbook for Information Literacy Teaching launched

We are proud to announce the launch of the 5th edition of Cardiff University’s Handbook for Information Literacy Teaching. Completely revised and now in a web-only format, the new Handbook addresses the strategic context of digital and information literacy, introduces theories and models of student learning styles, and gives advice on planning your lessons and teaching resources, assessing students, and more.

Case studies from our Subject Librarians here at Cardiff demonstrate how new teaching techniques have been put into practice and give invaluable advice to other practitioners thinking of trying them out.

Practical examples of teaching materials in use at Cardiff are provided, in formats that can be downloaded and repurposed under a Creative Commons Attribution Licence.

We hope you find the new edition of HILT useful and look forward to hearing your comments via the comment boxes on the opening page of each chapter of HILT.
