Education Development Toolkit

Foreword from Claire Morgan, Pro Vice-Chancellor Education and Students
‘The Cardiff University Education Development Toolkit provides guidance for staff in developing outstanding educational practices and consistently high-quality student learning experiences that support all students to fulfil their potential.

The toolkit is an excellent resource that is evidence-based and full of practical tips, examples of effective practice, advice, tools and models, covering a wide range of important learning, teaching and curriculum-related themes, including inclusivity, sustainability and employability.
The resource aligns to the strategic goals set out in ‘Our future, together’ and has been developed collaboratively by education specialists across Cardiff University in response to feedback from academic schools. The toolkit will continue to evolve over time, and I am looking forward to seeing future iterations as they are developed. I believe that this resource, along with the Cardiff University Learning and Teaching CPD programme of events, will lead to a step-change in the way that learning and teaching is developed and supported at Cardiff University, and help us to realise our ambitions to be a university offering an excellent educational experience for students of all backgrounds and experiences, and a commitment to flexible lifelong learning that creates positive change.’
