Project: Numerical study on structural behaviors considering the fluid-structure interaction
Dr Zhu is Associate Professor from Wuhan Institute of Technology, China. Her research interest is on disaster prevention and reduction analysis for bridges and structures, including: mechanical behaviors of concrete structures, behaviors of concrete-filled steel tubes (CFST)s, seismic behaviors of bridges, fluid-structure interaction. She has led a number of research projects funded by NSFC and other sources.
She joined the Group in September 2025 with the support of the China Scholarship Council (CSC). Her current research focuses on fluid-structure interaction (FSI) for developping efficient and accurate numerical methods for simulating FSI effects, thereby enhancing the analysis of hydrodynamic forces on underwater structures.
