Project: Modelling Ecosystem-Based Coastal Zone Management
This is a cross-disciplinary research to integrate the process-based coastal modelling into the ecosystem-based coastal zone management EBCZM) for better and evidence-informed sustainable policy and decision making. The research uses the advanced and high-performance computer modelling framework to gain a full understanding natural process to quantify the hydrodynamic and ecological parameters in the coastal zone and to provide intuitive evidence and support for the abstract social policy making, transferring the EBCZM into applicable research to mitigate the conflicts between human welfare and healthy coastal ecology with the widely acquired field data and knowledge.
