Objective

Desmond started his PhD research at Cardiff in Jan 2016. His research is focused on modeling of oil spill and its impacts on the affected areas in Nigeria.

 Achievements:

  • 2010: Supervised an earth dam project located at Unwana, Afikpo.
  • 2011: Supervised single and doubled-cell culverts located at Kpoghirikpo, Enohia in Afikpo;
  • 2011: Investigated the causes of dam failure in Ebonyi State;
  • 2012: Designed, supervised and installed full-scaled incinerator for the Polytechnic.

Academic Qualification

  • 2009: Obtained Master Degree in Civil Engineering (Water Resources and Environmental Engineering), University of Benin.
  • 2000: Obtained Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering, University of Benin.
  • Obtained WASC O’ Level @ St. Patrick Secondary School Iwara-Oka Akoko, AkokoSouth-West, Ondo State.

Working Experience

  • 2001 till date: Lecturing in the Department of Civil Engineering, AkanuIbiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Afikpo.
  • 2001 till date: Supervision of water resources and Environmental Engineering projects in the Department of Civil Engineering, AkanuIbiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana.
