Dr Sooyoul Kim is a visiting researcher from Tottori University, Japan since Oct 2014. His research is currently focused on the development of morphological modules for his 3D coastal process model (SuWAT [1], [2]), with its applications to the Deben Estuary along the east coast of the UK. He has previously worked on the development of neural network-based storm surge forecasting and has been developing a coupled model of surge, wave, tide and sediment transport. Nested computational domains are shown in the figure with varying grid resolutions.
