MEDOW disseminated its research activities and findings to industry, the academic community and the public. We conducted a number of public outreach activities in order to show what our research is about and how it will help to improve people’s lives.

Prize October 2017:
Jayachandra ‘JC’ Naidu spent three years working for MEDOW at DTU Wind in Denmark. He successfully defending his PhD in Spring 2017, having just started work as an R&D Engineer for ABB in Sweden. The quality of his PhD thesis, Coordinated Control of Wind Power Plants in Offshore HVDC Grids, has now led to him being named “Excellent Young Wind Doctor 2017” by the European Academy of Wind Energy (EAWE). The Excellent Young Wind Doctor Award is adjudicated by a Committee led by Professor Gerard van Bussel, TU Delft, Netherlands. Besides writing his PhD, JC also took the time to make several Guidance for Graduates videos about life as a doctoral student at DTU Wind Energy and in Denmark. Well done JC!
