Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) is situated in Leuven, Belgium and has been a centre of learning for almost six centuries.
MEDOW staff and fellows are based in the ELECTA research division of the department of Electrical Engineering (known as ESAT). ELECTA’s research portfolio covers the broad spectrum of electrical energy systems and robust control of industrial systems. The development of the future smart grid is the key activity.
One ESR, Robert Renner, and one ER, Sahar Pirooz Azad, are based at KU Leuven. The ESR based at Elia System Operator, Alejandro Bayo Salas, is enrolled on a PhD programme at KU Leuven.
